• The competition is open to all artists living or working in the United States.
  

• Book Competitions are being held in: Pastel, Oil, Watercolor, Mixed Media, Glass, Jewelry, Sculpture, Woodworking, Photography and Pottery/Clay.

• Open to all subject matter and all themes.

• The deadline for submissions are postmarked or entry form submission dates.

Best Of Artists Publications: Up to 200 outstanding artists per competition will be selected and be published in the two volume, alphabetically listed full color softbound Best Of America Artists Volume II books.

Selected artists will be featured alphabetically in one of the two independent volumes in the Best Of books series. All selected artists will receive a TWO PAGE COLOR LAYOUT of their selected artwork (2-4 images) and their contact information and or gallery representation, a proof jpeg email of your pages prior to printing, a listing in our new on-line US Visual Art Guide (www.usvisualartguide.com), a permanent listing on Bestofartists.com (BOAA), inclusion in the on-line PDF copy of the book, viewable on BOAA indefinitely.

Front Covers: One-four selected artists works from each competition will be featured on the front covers.

Back Covers: Three selected artists works from each competition will be featured on the back covers.

Payment

• Images should be at least 2400 x 2400 pixels or larger with at least 300 dpi jpg or png.

• Another way to format is to make your images roughly 8.5 x 11 with at least a 300dpi jpg or png.

The best published images first come from great photographs, so be sure the pictures you are sending are the best representation of your artwork! As always we want your work to be presented in the best possible way.

We will not publish images that have inferior color quality or clarity.

Please title your image entries as follows: your full Name the Title and Category/Medium.

Do not include any punctuation or symbols in your titles. example: Renee Kennedy Reflection Pastel

Please include all of your images and a text document with all of your information (if you did not include this on your entry form) ie: Title, Category and Dimensions in one folder name the folder with your last name and competition category then simply compress your folder for upload.

COMPRESS:

PC USERS: LABEL YOUR FOLDER WITH YOUR LAST NAME & COMPETITION CATEGORY
Convert your folder to a compressed file by right clicking on the folder, you will see a pop up menu, scroll down to SEND TO, (another pop up window will show up) click COMPRESSED ZIP FOLDER.

MAC USERS: LABEL YOUR FOLDER WITH YOUR LAST NAME & COMPETITION CATEGORY
To create a compressed file, control-click on the file you created with your images and text inside and choose Create Archive (which is Apple-speak for “make a compressed ZIP file”).

• On the upload page type in your name.
• Click browse on your computer for files.
• Select the zip file / compressed file you have prepared and click "Upload File".

• Click Here to Go to the upload page.

• Participants can submit as many images as they like.
  

• Images must be at Least 2400 pixels with a 300dpi.
• Images must be in jpg or png format.
• Images must have your first name, last name, title, Category/medium provided.

All entries must have been created by the submitting artist or photographer. You must be the sole owner of the copyright of the images/artwork you submit.
