She also taught in Fine Arts Education at the Capstone and in the Art Department at the University of West Alabama. Prior to her retirement from academia Dr Engle established and chaired the Department of Art at Shelton State Community College, Alabama`s Community College of Fine Arts. A member of the Colored Pencil Society of America, today she devotes her time to drawing, painting in acrylics and caring for her rescued dogs and cats.
